He and King Guy of Jerusalem waged war against the Muslims but were defeated and Reynald was taken prisoner, marking the beginning of the decline of the Crusaders. Lunch is enroute. Proceed to Petra for overnight.

Day 3: Petra (B, L):
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning visit to Petra
After breakfast visit Petra the Rose Red City - The visit will include the main sites such as the "Siq", along winding fissure between two walls of overhanging cliffs, the "Khazneh" referred to as the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Court House and the Amphitheater (lunch).  Upon completion, return to your hotel in Petra for overnight.

So far, no method has been found to determine when the history of Petra began. Evidence suggests that the city was founded relatively late, though a sanctuary may have existed there since very ancient times. This part of the country was traditionally assigned to the Horites, probably cave-dwellers, the predecessors of the Edomites.  The habits of the original natives may have influenced the Nabataean custom of burying the dead and offering worship in half-excavated caves. However, the fact that Petra is mentioned by name in the Old Testament cannot be verified. Although Petra is usually identified with Sela, which also means a rock, the Biblical references are not clear.  II Kings xiv. 7 seems to be more specific. In the parallel passage, however, Sela is understood to mean simply "the rock" (2 Chr. xxv. 12). As a result, many authorities doubt whether any town named Sela is mentioned in the Old Testament. Lunch included. Dinner is at your leisure.
